1. Keep Your Dog Leashed

Even if the Christmas tree farm is dog and pet friendly, making sure your pooch is leashed keeps them safe and under control.

A Christmas tree farm is bound to have a lot of people, children, and other pets. If your pooch is leashed, you won’t have to worry about them wandering and being lost at the farm.

And of course, your dog will surely want to mark every single tree they see at the farm. So, to prevent this, you need to keep them on a short leash so you can ensure that they’ll be next to you at all times. Nobody wants to bring home a Christmas tree that smells like dog pee, right?

2. Pack Accordingly

Bring supplies and pack accordingly for your trip. Your dog will need to do their business, so make sure to bring a fresh roll of poop bags.

Furthermore, since this trip can take up your whole day, ensure that you bring some of your dog’s favorite treats and water for hydration.

3. Dress Warmly

Temperatures are starting to drop, so when you pick a Christmas tree, make sure to dress yourself and your dog warmly. And if your pooch has a holiday sweater, then this is the perfect time and place for him or her to rock it!

Furthermore, walking your dog when the weather is cold can be a bit dangerous. Your dog paws’ can encounter debris, snow, or ice at the Christmas tree farm, so make sure to take extra care, especially of their paws!

4. Have Fun!

Last but definitely not the least, have fun! Going to a dog friendly Christmas tree farm and picking your own tree can be a fun bonding experience for you and your pooch.

So don’t forget to take photos and capture shared moments that will last a lifetime. After all, Christmas tree farms are a great place to get some festive holiday photos of and with your dog.
